Early Jazz Dance takes you back to the roots from which many street dance styles and tap have evolved. Originating in African American culture of the 1920s–30s, the style includes dances such as the Charleston and Black Bottom, as well as steps like the Shorty George, Camel Walk and Suzie Q. Just like in jazz music, individuality and improvisation are at the heart of the dance.

In this course, you’ll also get to try Lindy Hop – a playful partner dance that has become a worldwide favorite. No partner is needed to join. Come swing, groove and enjoy the relaxed atmosphere!

The class is open level and suitable for teens and adults.

What to bring: comfortable clothes, dance sneakers or smooth-soled shoes.
